Happiest Day of Winter!

As if getting to hang out my laundry the other day wasn't more than enough happiness for February, today I got my Disney park ticket in the mail!  Woo hoo!  Just over 2 months to go!

Also?  Trying really hard to forget that I can't really afford this trip, but on the bright side, the plane ticket has already been paid for with cash, and I have $100 in Disney gift cards and almost $100 in Disney Reward Dollars to spend, so the park ticket is really the only debt I should have.  I also have a 1/2 gallon pitcher in which I'm saving all my spare change.  That *should* add another $100 or so to the total funds available.  I'm not big on buying souvenirs, usually just a few magnets, maybe something with an Old Key West resort logo too.  I'm so excited!

Spring HAS to be here soon!

I was so happy to wake up this morning to bright sunshine and temperatures promising to be near 60 degrees.  Really, wonderful stuff for the middle of February.  And on laundry day, no less!  So I hurried and started the laundry earlier than I usually do, and ran outside with a smile on my face and cheerfully hung the clothes out.  Aah, what could be better?

Well, the sunshine didn't last, and I only got one load hung out and dried on the line, but it still made me happy.  Now it looks like it might be several more weeks before I get the chance to do it again, but I will cherish the joy of today and hold it in my heart until spring comes for real ♥

WHO?

So today is Superb Owl Sunday, because we're apparently not allowed to say what it really is.  Shit like that drives me crazy.  You know what else drives me crazy?  Football.  I don't like it, I don't watch it, I don't get the appeal.  Yes, I realize millions of people probably say the same thing about baseball, which I love, but that's different.  That's BASEBALL!  The most American of sports, don't you think?  Anyway, Jack and I are watching the commercials and finding other things to do while the game is actually being played, like many others are doing.  No party here, although I did make cookies, does that count?

In related news, the Daytona 500 is 3 weeks away...remind me again why I married a man who is a rabid fan of the sport with the longest season???
